Last year I was looking for a softshell jacket that I could use on urban projects. After reviewing several (I am a Patagonia fan) I decided to go for the Arc'teryx LEAF Drac jacket in Wolf color.
The jacket has a tough water shedding exterior with some tactical features that I found useful. The zipper, like all GORUCK zippers, are silent by way of using paracord and rubber tubbing. My only gripe with this jacket is the fit. Arc'teryx states that it is an Athletic Fit jacket, however it fits me like a tent. I'm an athletic guy and this jacket seemed to be cut either for an overweight guy or someone wearing a kit underneath, which is sort of strance. Maybe this year they changed the fit, but had I known I would have probably gone a size smaller.
I've been on many projects with this jacket both here and overseas, under light rain and snow. Dragging myself on nasty holes and harsh roads. The jacket performs and it is still good as new. It is a great piece of kit.
