Redesigning the concept: Intelligence Gathering And Direct Action Operations Using Red Teams

Back in mid 2012 I began writing a paper called "Offensive Information Warfare, Intelligence Gathering And Direct Action Operations Using Red Teams".

In that paper I layed down a concept I had in my head. Essentially the paper talks about using a team of people with experience in the adversarial mindset (the Red Team Mindset) and that have both technical and tactical experience to collect actionable intelligence (both digital and physical) in direct support SOF and LE in the war on terrorism and crime.

The paper is currently done. It has been ready since late 2012, but I hasn't seen the light yet. Some key people had read it and I was asked to wait.

After reading Jack Murphy's post at SOFREP Jed-21: Beyond Counter-Terrorism (Part 1), I feel I need ot revisit this paper. I have a few new ideas and I will redesign the concept.

Here you have the TOC of the paper as it is now.

But this will soon change and I hope I can post the paper here.
