Magpul iPad Mini Case

I'm a big fan of the iPhone cases that Magpul make. Sturdy, qualty pieces that are tough, durable, priced right and made in the USA.

When they released their iPad Mini cases I went for it. I was looking for something that can protect my iPad mini when I take it into projects on the field and this, I thought, was the perfect fit.

Similar to the iPhone cases, the iPad ones have a semi-rigid feel to them, designed to provide basic protection. Only in the back, the screen gets little protection.

Made from the same thermoplastic as the iPhone cases, this one features PMAG-style ribs for added grip, snap-on design for easy installation and removal, and is low bulk to preserve the thin and light nature of the mini. All the controls are accessible and it really add a good grip to the often hard to handle, slick iPad back surface.

After trying it a few times, I like it. However, like I mentioned, there is no protection on the screen. So, what I ended up doing was to use this cases on recon or surveillace in urban environments when I can stash it inside my well padded GORUCK GR1 or ECHO. Anything else you run the risk of cracking the screen if another piece of gear crashes into it. The only thing I would like to have is a lid/cover for the screen. Maybe I can me one myself...

For $26.95 is a good case to have as a backup.
