This is a book everyone should read. But more so every leader out there, from small teams to the corporate management of fortune 100s. This is a book about mindset and the principles that make a leader succeed. This is a book about leading the right way.
The authors, both accomplished US Navy SEALs officers, detail the mind-set and principles that enable SEAL units to accomplish the most difficult missions in combat and how these principlescan apply also to any team or organization. Each chapter focuses on a specific principle and gives a very simple, yet compelling example. I found the narrative to be at the right level, without overly technical or tactical language, and with a powerful instruction style.
I made this book mandatory for the Team to read. As you know, we have a very unique style of working where each Team member rotates being the leader for different projects and operations. It gives you a taste of what being a leader is like, and what being lead is too. It makes you "own it".
This book should be mandatory for leaders across the board. Highly recommended.
